Dimash's New Song : I Miss You (Я скучаю по тебе)

Dimash's latest song premiered on his YouTube channel on 5 December 2020 and what a beauty of a song it is.  Simple lyrics and gentle melody but interpreted by the inimitable Dimash Kudaibergen! Song lyrics for 'I Miss You' Music by Igor Krutoy Russian lyrics by Igor Nikolaev ⭐English Translation (Thank you, Google and a kind dear) On the sunset shore is the place of our meeting, and a flock of birds is circling over the shore. It’s like the first time I’m standing here on the beach, but I don’t know. Where are you, who are you with? I miss you, your eyes and your smile. And here, for evil fate, I will come again to wait for our meeting. For someone it is so easy, for me it is so difficult to start my life from scratch. I can't do that. Here on the shore, believing and loving, I will wait for you. Where are you, who are you with? I miss you, your eyes and your smile. And here, in spite of fate, I will come again to wait for our meeting. Our meeting place is on the sunse

Dimash & Dears : If I Never Breathe Again

Once upon a time when I was barely a month old in the fandom (and still trying to figure out who Dimash was), he held his first solo concert in China... D-Dynasty at Changsha and you could see how hard he tried to make the concert the best he could. But there was one song he sang that really touched me (and the whole audience, I bet) and that was 'If I Never Breathe Again'. The song had none of his vocal pyrotechnics and was just a simple song with a sweet melody but oh, he sang it from the deepest parts of his heart. And ever since then, it became a mainstay of his concerts (I'm not sure if he ever left it out of his concert setlist). For me, the song was his gentle statement to his dears... plain and simple 'If this should ever come to end, I couldn't ask for more.' Dimash and Dears is something I didn't expect to see or discover when I joined the fandom (my first and my last). I always thought that a singer sings and his listeners hear. And everyone goes

Dimash's 'Adagio' Lyrics in Picture Form

I saw Dimash's Adagio lyrics in picture form.  Nicely done by lyricaldimash account in Instagram.

Dimash's 'Adagio' Is Truly Glorious!

When I first watched Dimash's performance of Lara Fabian's Adagio, it almost wrung me dry. Because he was so impassioned and I was swept into the heartfelt cry of this young man who longs so much for his Adagio.  I can understand why some people can't take it when Dimash sings one of his passionate love songs because it takes everything out of you and you just feel like collapsing later. But oh my, what a trip!  Adagio Lyrics  Written by Dave Pickell, Lara Fabian, Rick Allison, Tomaso Albinoni I don't know where to find you I don't know how to reach you I hear your voice in the wind I feel you under my skin Within my heart and my soul I wait for you Adagio All of these nights without you All of my dreams surround you I see and I touch your face I fall into your embrace When the time is right I know You'll be in my arms Adagio I close my eyes and I find a way No need for me to pray I've walked so far I've fought so hard Nothing more to explain I know all

Dimash on MTV Friday Livestream

Three weeks ago, Dimash premiered on MTV Friday Livestream along with a stream of dears, half of which barely understood what was happening.  I myself am not quite sure but all I know is that after a week's worth of tweeting the tags @dimash_official @MTV #FridayLivestream, dears garnered enough votes to get Dimash on the livestream among other artists who were Top Requested Artists.  MTV host Kevan Kenney found himself facing dears from all over the world, speaking all sorts of languages, half of whom had never used Twitter but who were determined to see their beloved Dimash on the livestream.   And, of course, the dears found themselves facing the huge fandoms of SB19 and Arashi who had been occupying the top two rungs of the Top Requested on the Livestream.  Both the fandoms are more organised than the Dears and already knew what they were supposed to do.  Dears had to go through quite a number of trial-and-error situations (still are!) and even dealt with the challenge of upset

Alexander Revva Talks About Dimash

❤️ Russian article "I am a fan of Dimash Kudaibergen's planet": showman Alexander Revva talks about the Kazakh singer and his work.  https://moscow.sm-news.ru/ya-poklonnik-planety-pod-nazvaniem-dimash-shoumen-aleksandr-revva-o-kazaxskom-pevce-i-ego-tvorchestve-58191/

Dimash Qudaibergen The Unexpected!

I have a feeling that I first heard of Dimash in early 2017 because I have some recall of hearing about him ... or did I scan news articles about him?  But I probably did it while my mind was thinking about other things because I got this impression that Dimash was a middle-aged man, in a stylish suit, singing arias and being respected for his awesome talent and knowledge. I didn't actually see a photo of him but perhaps I read descriptions of his singing prowess that made me think he was much older and more serious.   Well, whatever it may be, the first time I saw him, I didn't even connect him with THAT Dimash Qudaibergen (him of the lofty opera halls and distinguished marble pillars).  I saw a KID having fun onstage with his high notes and giving people in the audience apoplexy.  It was a while later that I connected him with that distinguished Dimash Qudaibergen I'd gotten an impression of.  And after a while, I figured out why.  Dimash's talent can easily place hi

'Across Endless Dimensions' By Dimash Qudaibergen

Better late than never, they say.  Yeah, well, this pandemic just upended people's lives, shook them and flung them to land however wherever.  Myself included.  But that's one thing I admire about the human species.  We are survivors. 'Across Endless Dimensions' seems to say that we are more than just specks of carbon-based units and I totally agree.  Dimash never ceases to amaze with me with his song interpretations and song choices.  I am so grateful that he is 'choosy'.  Every song he sings, my soul leaps high and just zips elsewhere and I just hang on.   It is a soundtrack from the film Creators: The Past... music by Piergiuseppe Zaia and lyrics by Antonella Maggio. Lyrics: Sad eyes lost into the dark I miss to tears the source of my creation  My soul free from space and time ready to ride across endless dimensions  So fly me high and hold me tight  From empty days to light Show me stars, oceans of love Show me the way to reach the core of my life So fly me

Dimash's 'Birthday 'Parties'

24 May 2020 can be considered a red letter day because Dimash and Dears had 'parties' the whole 24 hours.  Videos, livestreams galore! At midnight Nursultan time, there was a birthday video gift surprise from fan clubs on Dimash's own YouTube channel.  Even Dimash himself had not seen the video.  And it was a recap of his last few months of activities ... the animation of him was sooo good! Then there was Dimash's performances on the Tokyo Jazz Plus Livestream Festival Amazing Samal Tau! Epic 'SOS'! Dears were in heaven!  But the party was still ongoing! KhabarTV had made a documentary entitled 'Dimash Show' and it was in a fantastic format, where they had filmed Dimash watching the documentary and making comments.  Wow!  I want to send a bouquet to the person in KhabarTV who had this great idea!  This was the most amazing reaction video ever, with the best reactor! BUT the day wasn't over yet.  The most epic part of the d

Dimash's 'Sagyndym Seni' - 'Missing You'

Dimash has a magical touch with his songs that can make us light as a feather, happy as a lark but also can make us cry tears of sadness. The one song of his that is guaranteed to make my tears flow is 'Sagyndym Seni' (Missing You). This is also a song he released via Dimash & Dostar Fan Club (based in Astana/Nursultan, Kazakhstan). Not something he usually does. Which is why I provide the link to that video released on 25 February 2018. The Most Beautiful Voice In The World

Saw a interview video of an Italian film director and the film scriptwriter for the film 'Creators : The Past' slated for release in March 2020 but delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Wow, Pergiuseppe Zaia and Eleonari Fani said awesome things about Dimash. "This 25-year-old young man from Kazakhstan is, for me, the most beautiful voice in the world, even though I am someone that collaborated with so many grand musicians, with many singers." "We typed in 'the most beautiful voice in the world' and this Dimash comes out." "Excuse me. He sings a song that is called 'Across Endless Dimensions'. By the way, we finished the music video for it today."

I Am Kazakh

Someone once asked me if Dimash was Chinese. When I said he was Kazakh, she asked me what Kazakhs were like. I was stumped for an answer because the only Kazakh I 'knew' well was Dimash and of course, I hardly know him except for the little glimpses I see via the interactions with others caught in clips. Which actually means little. But then I guess I have been learning a lot about what Kazakhs are through the songs which Dimash sings. Songs like Samaltau and 'I'm A Kazakh'. I get a very strong sense that Kazakhs are like phoenixes rising from the ashes of trials and grief. This video shows 'I Am Kazakh' performed by Dimash and 'Part 9' Kazakh rappers (Erbolat Kudaibergen & Alashuly).  I love their deep voices (oh the different colours of their voices) and there's Dimash with the angelic soundwaves! Here are the song lyrics to a song in Kazakh (transliteration) and translation to English.  Men Qаzаqpın (Мен қазақпын) Me

The Crown of Thorns By Dimash

The song that is close to my heart The Crown of Thorns (lyrics from Lyricstranslate.com) Entanglement, filled with twist and turns Dust, spectacular yet lonely Absurdity, repeats again and again Partings, so casual and indifferent Bitterness brings turmoil Infatuation brings despair Love is a thorny crown, why hold on to such pain? Memory, like a web of vines, A regret that breathes Let me wear the crown you give Like an ancient statue living in a museum Entanglement, filled with twists and turns Dust, spectacular yet lonely Absurdity, repeated again and again Partings, so casual and indifferent Bitterness brings turmoil Infatuation brings despair Love is a thorny crown, why hold on to such pain? Memory, like a web of vines, A regret that breathes Let me wear the crown you give Like an ancient statue living in a museum Giving you snowflakes from last night Giving you a long farewell Giving you a lavish yearning Like sheets of small, insignificant,

Words and Song Endure So Long As Voices Endure

One of the miracles of words (poetry or song) is that they endure for as long as there is someone to read or sing the poetry. Dimash is giving life to the stories of his people when he sings songs like Daididau, Aliya and Samaltau. And when we sing these songs for love of him, we also breathe life into these stories. I think Dimash has made it impossible for these stories to ever be forgotten. And this reminds me of a poem by one of my favourite poet playwrights. Sonnet 18 (by WS) Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date. Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st, Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade, Whe
