Dimash's High Notes

I was scrolling around in YouTube comment sections when I came across an old comment of mine under Dimash's 'Love's Not Over Yet' video.  I was responding to a troll comment. It never fails... every time Dimash releases something, the trolls come out. Meh. What else is new? 😂 I've been eight years in this fandom and I have come to realise these people are always going to be around.... like washing machine lint. Just ignore them. Yes, I should take my own advice but I was in a funny mood that day 😘😁 Dimash 'screams' and the troll doesn't like it. Well, I don't really like high notes and my presence in this fandom is a mystery. A miracle, if you like. 😆 But I'm here because Dimash's singing does something to my brain. My heart, my soul. Even his 'screaming'.  The first time I listened to LNOY, the high notes at the end of 'You hold our destiny in your haa-aaaands' made me cringe a bit. Remember I'm 'allergic' to...

Dimash Qudaibergen The Unexpected!

I have a feeling that I first heard of Dimash in early 2017 because I have some recall of hearing about him ... or did I scan news articles about him?  But I probably did it while my mind was thinking about other things because I got this impression that Dimash was a middle-aged man, in a stylish suit, singing arias and being respected for his awesome talent and knowledge. I didn't actually see a photo of him but perhaps I read descriptions of his singing prowess that made me think he was much older and more serious.   Well, whatever it may be, the first time I saw him, I didn't even connect him with THAT Dimash Qudaibergen (him of the lofty opera halls and distinguished marble pillars).  I saw a KID having fun onstage with his high notes and giving people in the audience apoplexy.  It was a while later that I connected him with that distinguished Dimash Qudaibergen I'd gotten an impression of.  And after a while, I figured out why.  Dimash's tal...

Why I Think Dimash Kudaibergen Is Very Unusual

Dimash Kudaibergen is a very unusual person, personality, singer, performer, whatever.  But he is very unusual. The Cambridge Advanced Learner's dictionary says that 'unusual'.means 'different from others of the same type in a way that is surprising, interesting or attractive.'  Well, that definitely fits our man Dimash. Rather than risking this post turning into a long essay, I'll elaborate in points all the things I find unusual . 1.  Dimash has an amazing talent enhanced by long years of vocal work (20 years as of 2019).  His mother Sveta Aitbaeva mentioned that he began with only three or four octaves but diligent practice helped to increase his range. 2.  Dimash is a singer performer who has been trained in classical and contemporary music - graduated from K. Zhubanov University, Aktobe (classical music) - graduated from Kazakh National University of Arts, Nursultan (contemporary music - jazz, pop) - major in Vocal - currently taking his Masters in Com...

I'm A Terrible Blogger For Dimash LOL

I started this blog because some people asked me for info and they didn't want to use social media apps like Facebook and Instagram.  But I'm terrible at updating.  That is partly due to my updating my Instagram and Facebook... as well as being busy with other stuff. PLUS Dimash has been super busy in November and December.  Concerts all over the place!  Does he even have time to breathe, I wonder?  But he is worth all my lost sleep.  Oh yes, he is. Cr Chaser-Z Edits are mine

How I Recognise Dimash's Name in Chinese

I found out early that if I wanted to be able to get info about Dimash (or do stuff like vote for him), I needed to know his name in two different alphabets.  In Cyrillic alphabet, it's easy Димаш Құдайберген. But in Chinese, it's more difficult. So this is how I memorise his name in Chinese. I tell myself the first symbol is of a stylized man carrying a treasure. The treasure even has a handle. The second is a cart that will carry that treasure (see, it has grills at the back) and the third is a Kazakh horse that pulls the cart and treasure. So even when pics won't load, I can still locate Dimash's name in a voting list.
