Watching Dimash's 'Tau Ishinde' video, I couldn't help but laugh at all the funny moments ... so many winks at his fandom.  And it obviously made many others happy as it hit a million views fast! That man knows stuff about his fandom, doesn't he?  But I bet he held back more than he allowed to show in that crazy laugh fest of a video. Of course, Dimash is never WYSIWYG.  Never.  So I watched the video again and again... and slowly I realised that he was telling us things through the song... things that are starkly different from the visuals on that Karina video. LOL.  Okay, Dimash, we will laugh along with you.  But we also get what you are trying to say.  Smoke by Dimash Qudaibergen is such a fun ride! When I first saw the teaser with bruisers handling guns & Dimash dressed in pink and looking like he was ready for a glitzy schmaltzy Las Vegas-type show, I thought.. uh okay, what a one eighty turn from the smouldering creature of the dark. Teaser Then he released the performance video. He danced in the middle of a bevy of sirens who swayed and flickered like tongues of flames. And I thought oh wowwww Finally he released the music video of the gangsters and the glitz. I thought he must have had a ball making the video! He came out looking dead serious, talking about how he's out making waves for glory and nobody can hold him. And he just took over a gang lord's dining table (and family!) and entranced them. But only for two minutes 😆 Watch the video to the end and you'll know what I mean.  Smokin' hot, Dimash!

 'WHEN I'VE GOT YOU' IS INCREDIBLE.  I needed time to absorb this adrenaline rush of music, vocals, gorgeousness and steamy-hot star-crossed lovers story.  And the visual wealth of contrasts and colours.  I just loved the wash of rich sensual colours... dripping scarlet, night-dark blue, mysterious green... and in all that, the gorgeous blonde in stark pure white.  Did anyone start wondering who was more beautiful, Dimash or the blonde?  What a wealth for the eyes.  Thank you, Dimash, you're always providing such an electrifying feast for the senses.

 I think Omir (Life) is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt songs Dimash has composed and performed so far. In this song, he laid his heart and soul bare. Showing us snippets of what he has experienced so far in his life and asking life not to test him with bitter disappointments. His words are even 'written' on his very skin.  The music video

Dimash's song 'Together' is thought-provoking. As usual. And his music video released last week leaves many things to the imagination. It is worth taking note that the music was composed by his younger brother, Mansur.  The MV starts with two young men in spacesuits walking on a seemingly-uninhabitable surface but then they come across a plant which is identified as 'oxygenium'. The care with which they handle it implies it is a very precious thing... maybe capable of generating oxygen? Then the story flows, mixing snapshots of their life in the spaceship with flashbacks of their life with family at home. I won't say more because I've come to realise that different people will see different things. The MV is questioning us all... "If you want to change the world, let's start today." but will we?

Kieli Meken is a grand burst of tones, both vocal and instrumental.  You get to hear rock and also folk melodies.  And I do so love the strong drum beat punctuating every twist and every turn. The melody was written by Erbolat Kudaibergen and the lyrics by Kanat Aitbayev.  The director for the performance was Anna Oboianska and the sound engineer was Erlan Bekchurin.  The dancers and choreography were from Foresight Dance Theatre (Ukraine)... don't...

'Akkuym' (My Swan) music video by Dimash was released on his YouTube channel on 8th of March 2019 and oh what an enchanting video it was. Of tall and lanky stature, Dimash is perfectly matched with an equally tall & extremely slender girl (Nadia Yatsenko).  Storyline is a familiar one... two young lovers part ways when their lives go on different paths.  She is an artist who goes with a patron who is much older and most probably more padded in the pockets.  Dimash was able to convey the love he feels for her, the angst at losing her and yet you can sense a calm acceptance.  He loves enough to let her go, even though he will never forget her and he will never stop missing her. In this imperfect world, rife with disappointments and dilemmas, I think this video will keep company with many people together with their tissues and tea.
