I keep watching this YouTube video of Dimash singing 'Swan Goose' with Tengger @ Tengri because of the ethnic instruments and sound incorporated into the performance.
And the two singers sound and look so good together. You'd never think that there could be such a fascinating collaboration between a young Kazakh singer dressed in a sharp suit and a Chinese Mongol artist who does throat singing. I"ve heard about Tengger before but was never bothered to listen to him.. until this performance. Here are the lyrics to 'Swan Goose' translated to English
Swan Goose
(Mongolian folk song)
Swan goose
in the sky
fly in unity
long is the river
yellow is the autumn grass
sorrow is the music on the prairie
Swan goose
southbound
fly over the reeds
the grey sky is boundless
where are they heading for
home is where the heart is
the grey sky is boundless
where are they heading for
home is where the heart is
Swan goose
coming back from north
take my yearning
fading is the song
trembling is the music
warm is the spring on the prairie
Swan goose
flying through the grey sky
how far away the sky
the glass is empty
fill again
I won't go home till I'm drunk tonight
the glass is empty
fill again
I wont go home till I'm drunk tonight
Thank youuu 💕💕💕
