 It is a holiday in my country, so I had some time to get enough rest and take a deep dive into the fandom, seeing what I had missed.  And of course I had to listen to Gashyqtyq properly.  A quiet room and with Bang Olufsen speakers.


Dimash creates such beauty with his singing... he makes the words spellbinding, gently spiralling around his listeners, binding them with such achingly heartbreaking emotion.  I can feel so much pain but cannot break free, I don't want to break free... it is like looking into the darkest parts of the soul, so deep and fathomless...  I fear what I might see but I cannot look away.

I do not think I can ever hear Kazakh words spoken without feeling what Dimash has poured into his songs.  In my mind, Kazakh is now a language of deepest emotion and absolute beauty.

The meaning of the Kazakh words are very deep and complex.  Translation cannot even begin to capture the emotions in each verse.
