Two years ago, Dimash came out of the lockdown period and absolutely stunned me when he sang 'I Miss You' onstage in a performance so soulful and so personal that it felt very very real... as if he was really feeling the loss of his beloved dears (yes, I'm being fanciful).
But that's one of his capabilities... to make every song feel so personal, so real to each listener that they walk in a haze for hours afterwards (half in disbelief and half in amazement)
I'm no newbie to super good singers. I grew up in a house of instrumentalists and I had access to recordings from so many decades. Believe me when I say Dimash is a cut above many many singers.
Dang, he's amazing.
