The Complicated & Complex Dimash Qudaibergen

 In 2017, I stumbled across Dimash and got swept away but wasn't quite sure why I liked this skinny beanpole (which he was, in 2017).  I wasn't quite in the habit of dissecting my tastes, preferences etc. But over the years, thanks largely to comments by dears and analyses by musicians & reactors, I got to understand why. I like the scintillating layers in Dimash's music (just as I like the layers in Shakespeare's writing). He uses thin fragile-looking layers to create a powerful whole, a piece of music that flows into my heart, mind, soul and I become speechless, trying to catch hold of what I am experiencing.  I like the tiny almost imperceptible garnishes and flourishes he decorates his art with... they make me go 'What? What?? What was that??' I like the way he uses dark to show light and brightness to focus attention on something melancholy.  I like the way his art makes me think and wonder... like peeling an onion of unending layers. He weaves thoughts...

Dimash Kudaibergen International Fan Club

 When I first learned about Dimash Kudaibergen aka Dimash Qudaibergen, I tried looking for information about him on the Internet.  This was in 2017 and I didn't know that most of the information about him was either in Kazakh, Russian or Mandarin.  Very little was in English. So I thought and thought... and said to myself where would I find information about a young artist?  The answer was obvious... fan groups!  So off I went into Facebook... I didn't know how to use Instagram then and I didn't think Twitter would be much help. And that is how I found Dimash Kudaibergen International Fan Club .  Due to changes in the Kazakh alphabet (changing from Cyrillic to Latin), Dimash's name was now spelled Qudaibergen but the fan group has not changed the spelling as of this post as they felt a deep attachment to the history behind the K. From a group of 2000+ fans, it has now grown to almost 69,000 members... fans of the incredible vocal talents of a young Kazakh a...
